I am not any female version of Handy Mandy but sometimes I just want to have the initiative to do stuff at home and fix things myself instead of waiting for that someone to do the manly jobs that needs to be done. Yes over the past few years in my heart I have felt the need to rely on myself and my human power to do stuff around the house perhaps to satisfy my heart’s desires rather than wait for things to happen.

For a start, I need tools. I may not do the job right but perhaps with practice I will be able to do it just right maybe. I was looking for some basic tools we need to have and I came across this precision vise that may come in a variety when it comes to base lengths, hex sizes, jaw widths and base heights. It was something that my cousin was talking about with the husband a couple of weeks ago and I just overheard them talking about it.

Anyway, maybe I could do a list of tools we need to have in the house ready to use anytime we need to do some fixing around here. Yes there are a few things that needs to be fixed. I am just delighted that more than a week ago, the husband has finally decided to fix the screen door handle. It was a very basic thing but it was something to be delighted about if you knew how long I have waited for that to be fixed and he did it in his own time without any word from me. Luckily he found the right tools at home to make him do the job quickly.

Grocery Done

It is Sunday and off with my boys to church this afternoon after which we headed out to the mall’s supermarket to have our weekly grocery done. We just need to buy bottled water and I wanted some fresh fruit for dessert.

On our way out we met a guy who asked me if I know where he could buy some cigarettes. Over the years, the display for this product in the stores in the city has been less visible given the city ordinance affecting the use of it. Anyway, that simple question just made me think of the cigar reviews I came across last night through what a friend posted. I just told the guy he might find what he is looking for at the cashier. There used to be a display of it at the cashier before though recently I have not noticed them anymore. Well he could just ask the cashier, I suggested and off he went to ask.

We’re done with our grocery and before heading off, I wanted to buy something to eat at home for our snacks later. I ended up not buying anything. That means one thing, we might have food delivered later on. Like the idea because I know what I want to buy for our Sunday midnight snacks.

New Pillows

Since last week when I saw this U-shaped pillow that was posted by a friend of mine in her Instagram account, I thought of that long body pillow that I wanted to buy last month yet it went out of stock. I have not checked again if it is already available since then.

This morning while I had an hour spent at home before heading back to school for their lunch break, I made a quick look at these nice cushions and pillows. My attention was caught by those leg pads and cushions. First time to see those kinds of knee, leg and body pillows and cushions honestly which have a different designs and shapes. I would like to try them though and see how effective and comfortable they are.

For now though, I know I want more pillows in bed after seeing those and two mommy friends who have so much pillows in their beds. Yes I kind of got the idea it would be more comfortable if we would add more pillows in bed. Sleeping time will be more comfy for the little guy.

Clean My PC

I noticed that my laptop and the PC has been slow since two days ago. I don’t know what’s the problem and the husband has just been busy lately and he is going to an official travel for the next few days. I would be delighted if the laptop, PC or the internet would go back to being normal or faster otherwise I had to ask the husband to clean my pc and laptop as well as check out what’s the problem.

I also remember the old laptop that we have stored in the room which I have been planning to give to my niece before she starts with college this school year. I wish the husband would also have that clean and ready to use by niece like it is as good as new or good as second hand that she can still use for any school related work or project. When all laptops and PC gets a clean up giving it more disk space and make it faster to use. I and my niece will surely be both delighted.
