Faith Matters 
Today is Ash Wednesday and we remember today marks the start of the season of Lent or 40 days before Easter Sunday (excluding Sundays). Lent is the season where we observe penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ash Wednesday got its name from putting ashes in the forehead of the faithful as a sign of our repentance for our sins. These ashes used are usually gathered from the Palm Crosses from the last year’s Palm Sunday that are burned.

Food My new fave Quaker Oats oatmeal cookies in honey nuts and raisin flavors as well as the apple and cinnamon flavor which I discovered last. Hubby was the one who chose to buy the raisin flavor just one pack to try and until now it has not been eaten yet. There are still honey nuts in our “magic box” so I’ll reserve the raisin flavor for hubby until there’s no more honey nuts left maybe.
I like the honey nuts most though the apple and cinnamon can be another good choice of flavor too. It is said to be 1/3 less fat, with no artificial flavors and 0% trans fat. A pack with three pieces of oatmeal cookies is between P9.50-P10. I would like to think this is a far better and healthier option for my snacks than opening a pack and eating junk food for afternoon snacks.
For the past year I have been trying out different oatmeal cookies. This is one of the latest that I could buy at Robinsons Supermarket here coz I rarely find them in the other grocery and supermarkets around the city.

Games It’s the love month indeed and when I checked a game I used to play at Facebook, I found out it’s already Valentine’s at Fish World and I was happy to play it again to my heart’s delight. They have Valentine’s background and Valentine’s decorations as well as Valentine’s fishes too such as the Heart Fish, Bow & Arrow Fish, Heart Ribbon Fish and the Kissing Fish. They are ready to be sold after 24 hours.There are decorations such as February 14 Calendar, Be Mine, and Heart Box.

Mellow Yellow Monday 
We dined at one of our fave restos a few days ago. Thanks to hubby’s treat. It was payday Friday then and we had an early dinner. That’s good coz after awhile when we were finished with dinner and people kept coming in already. By the time we asked for our bill and I went to wash my hands, by the time I came back yellow reserved sign was already in our table. For me, it’s our cue to go home. I was able to take a picture while waiting for our receipt and change and finding this photo I decided to make this my entry for Mellow Yellow Monday though I am obviously a day late. I say better late than never.

Food We woke up late this morning and so we had a very late but a hearty breakfast with the two boys with easy-to-make pancakes courtesy of Pillsbury creamy vanilla pancakes, fried eggs sunny side-up and tender juicy, cheesy PF hotdogs. The lil boy was in the mood to take more bites of the hotdog this time compared to a few days before. But what he does it seems is that he takes a first bite of each hotdog leaving me and hubby finishing off the rest of the hotdogs he has taken a bite of. It is okay as long as he eats though he drank milk earlier that is why he was already full and so he just ate a little. It was a hearty breakfast at noon that was what happened earlier. But we had a fun and tummy-filling breakfast at noon! Thanks hubby for waking up to cook breakfast for us!
