Home Insured

Posted under Home Matters, Info

A house, in reality, is always theoretically fire prone they say and that is what I heard in the news since we are still in the fire prevention month. Eliminate fire hazards and do every thing that the fire protection bureau advices to prevent fire. But despite that there are still fires that break out in homes such as what happened to our family friend who lost their house and all their belongings last month. They were thankful that at least no one was harmed and that they had a home insurance and they were able to recover somehow now.

Make sure that your home is insured. Secure the best coverage and most affordable rate for a home insurance. It is easy these days know about this kind of insurance and there are sites online that can provide you with home insurance quotes that are fast and reliable in just a matter of minutes. That quick and easy just as how quick and easy will a fire burn down in minutes what you have worked hard for in months and years. So prevent this, secure and insure your home as well.

Light

Posted under Photography, SOOC

Speaking of light, here is a snapshot of the ceiling pendant light for my straight out of camera Sunday photo. This was hanging above our table in the steak house resto where we had our dinner with my boys a couple of days ago. It was hubby’s treat since it was his off from work and we had our bonding time. I really liked how these lights softened the lights in the whole resto giving it a nice and cozy ambiance for couples, friends, and families to dine in. I was thinking while waiting for our food to be served that maybe we can find one similar to this and have this in my son’s room in case the lamp give’s up in the future. Light It Up

Posted under Uncategorized

Been telling the hubby that I wanted to do something with the lighting in the living room of our place. I wanna light it up simply put I wanna add some lighting to this place in the house where we spend most of our waking hours. I have been doing some window shopping online and coming across Golden lighting which has has among the newest styles and most fashion forward lines when it comes to chandeliers, wall sconces, ceiling lighting, bathroom lighting that are affordable but no one would know as they look like one-of-a-kind designer pieces of lighting. I have gotten this idea using the mini pendant lighting for my work space in the living room so I have more light even if the lil one wants to put off the one in the living room when he sleeps on the sofa bed in the living room. I still get lighted up working here.

I must also try their Ice Giants especially the Mango Giants. Hope that is as delicious and refreshing as this parfait!

More Access to Education

Posted under Education, Info

Some people constantly search for further education for various reasons such as work promotion or career advancement, continuous education for one’s personal growth and learning experience through life. One of our priests in college I remember told us during our graduation that we must always seek for further education. It does not stop when get a diploma in college or from the university.

These days there is more convenient access to education given there is an option to enrol in an online university such as the WGU, a non-profit university and dedicated partner for those working individuals who seek further education through online degree programs offered.

They also offer further studies such as online mba degree programs being offered that are designed particularly for those experienced business professionals and managers out there who continually seek for career advancement. Their tuition is said to be affordable and they offer flexibility in time that fits you on your own schedule. Don’t stop learning. If only I have more spare time to dedicate to learning, I’d like to give this a try.

Another Thankful Thursday

Posted under Thankful Thursday

It is a good time to say thanks with our heart’s delight to the Lord for it is Thankful Thursday once again:

  • I am thankful as always for the many blessings and opportunities that have been pouring in for the past few weeks. May the Lord continue to bless us with more in the coming days, weeks and years in our lives.
  • I am thankful for my two nephews and my niece who are finishing the school year with academic honors and recognition. I am proud that they did well in their studies this year and I continue to pray that they will continue to excel in their studies and make the most of the gift of education knowing how expensive it is to send children to school these days.
  • I am thankful for a good friend online whom I was able to meet recently during her official business trip to the city. We were able to chat and she was such a comfort for having such an understanding friend though we’re not that close really but she was a good friend and listener and adviser to me. Thanks for the enlightenment and you know who you are. You are such a blessing of a friend to me at that time.
  • I am thankful for my lil boy for the joys, laughter, smiles, singing and dancing that we do together. Also thankful for the strength, comfort, hope and love that I find in him.

Surprise Visit

Posted under Health, Info, Random

Hubby got a surprise visit from one of our “godfathers” or male principal sponsors in our wedding, who works for a pharmaceutical company a few months ago. I remember that as I was able to browse through pictures of that visit of this family friend with my boys as I was looking for a certain family photo for a meme that time.

I was kind of busy at work at home that time that I left them to have men’s talk from computers since he came over to have his wife’s laptop fixed after their son managed to have it infected by a virus again… to sports like basketball, football, and boxing. They talked even about the Tiger Woods scandal that led to the talk on extenze which is a nutritional supplement that the visitor said was supposedly to bring a better or more fun experience for men. This caught my attention as I have read an article about it somewhere over the internet about this before in a forum. Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson appeared in an infomercial about it if I am not mistaken. Well they were talking about sports anyway before so I just made that connection in their talk before going back to my work.

I left them in the living room to talk more. Their talk went back to computers and softwares including viruses. Then I even remembered they were talking about hubby’s former officemates some of whom I have met over the past few years but up to now could not remember their names. I was happy that we had this surprise visit at home. Hubby was able to have time off from his usual routine stuck to his PC most of the time. I hope they can come back again with his wife this time so we can also have our girl’s talk somehow.
