Chances of Recovery

While I was enjoying this morning hearing the sounds of the birds outside in the back and in front while the winds blows making the wind chimes sound, it makes us realize most of us our blessed to be in good health. I became kind of sad upon recalling reading an email forwarded to me by one of my friends whose relative was diagnosed late last year of mesothelioma. It has worsened and they were told he may not live long. The chances of recovery or mesothelioma prognosis which my nurse classmate explains is a prediction of the probable course and outcome of a certain disease like in this case mesothelioma, may not be certain.

Stay away from such long exposure to asbestos which is the cause of this disease aside from probably causing lung cancer too. Prevention, like from exposure to asbestos, is always better than cure as often said.  According to mesothelioma.net, it is always terminal, usually diagnosed late, and usually it is initially diagnosed like a more common ailment such as the flu. Sad to say also it is often misdiagnosed so it is often discovered in its late stage when chances of recovery is slimmer. We could pray for miracle and also be sure to take serious precautions when you know someone who is sick and has been exposed to asbestos so we’ll know out loved ones or someone we know will  continue to have good health and well-being. As my sister always tell me, it is also good to be informed, health information resource centers that has sites we can browse through and read on to be informed.
