Recreating Your Favorite Restaurant Dishes with Online Casino

Posted under Food, Games, Info

If your family loves to eat in restaurants – either fancy or fast food – it is important they learn how to recreate those favorite meals more healthfully and budget friendly. Dining out is not always affordable for your wallet or your waistline – but if you learn to incorporate some of your favorite ingredients into your daily meal planning, you will find yourself paying a restaurant bill less frequently. Decoding your favorite recipes is not as difficult as winning on an online casino – and can be a great form of entertainment in your home. Read the rest of this entry »

Backyardigans

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, TV Shows

And yet the lil boy is having a Backyardigans marathon watching it for days now! I am just glad that this is more children friendly series and nothing much to worry that your little one might see or hear something bad. It is far better than the cartoons that they are sometimes showing in Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or even Disney Channel.

I like that there is singing and dancing portions in this series which the little boy likes to sing and dance to as well. At times though even if we are in the middle of work here he would ask us to stop, stand up then sing and dance with him and the Backyardigans. There is one episode though that I like most so far and that is entitled Amazing Race. I like the music and songs that they have here. It makes me want to sing and dance as well without the little boy’s prodding me. Try watching this cartoon series with your little ones and am sure they will enjoy it as much as my lil boy enjoyed watching this each day for more than a week now.

Backyardigans Marathon

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, TV Shows

Our precious little boy has been having a Backyardigans marathon today. I have been singing along and listening to these songs almost whole day long. We gave the littl guy a break and let him watch the series which I don’t know where hubby got. One thing I am sure the little boy is enjoying this animated series and he gets to sing along and dance sometimes particularly on the musical parts of the series.

A Bug’s Life

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, Movies

The lil boy has been doing some marathon watching of this animated Disney-Pixar movie called A Bug’s Life for three days now. Last night, he watched it three times in a row plus he also watched it the other day for a few times. Now he just watched once though but if he is still awake till later am sure he would want to watch it again later after watching Toy Story 2, another Disney-Pixar animated movie.

I am happy he looks for this kind of movie rather than the ones he sometimes watch at Cartoon Network and Nick Jr. before which are quite not good for kids actually since they are either not educational and they are quite violent for very young kids to watch. I am gonna hunt for more educational videos for the lil boy. Or at least animated videos that are worth watching and not as violent.

Mother’s Day Gift: iPod Touch 32GB

Posted under Games, Occasion, Tech Stuff

Hubby let me get a gift for myself and as much as I wanted an iPhone or an iPad which costs so much more than the one I bought and that is an iPod Touch much of an influence of an online friend of mine during her recent visit here. Hubby told me to get the iPod Touch 32GB instead of the 16GB I was originally planning to buy and am glad I followed his advice. We bought this at the iCenter and didn’t regret it. The lil boy though discovered it Friday a week before and has not let go of it since. He wakes up and sleeps using this watching Dora, Shrek, Mickey Mouse which has been his fave for a few days now and other Disney animated movies in it. Hubby have just uploaded free educational games for the lil boy yesterday afternoon through iTunes and the lil boy was so excited choosing the games he want. We just got the free ones for now and think about buying later the ones that are not free.

We are amazed at how the lil boy got so techie in just a few days. He uses it well and we hope he would be able to use it well to help him learn. I am happy we could use this to help him learn the alphabet, spelling, identifying shapes, and before he slept last night he was playing the piano Virtuoso app in it. I wish I can teach him and I hope this would open up a passion for music and playing musical instruments for him as well. I like the sound of the piano in it. When he dozed off to sleep, I started playing it and loved it. Will find a tutorial on how to play the piano using it.

I’d like to put e-books into it but with the lil boy using almost all the time for now, I’d just put that in my to do list. A lot more to explore but I have been busy with hubby’s medical emergency and since we came home from the hospital we have just been taking it slow and trying to rest at home. For now am happy the lil boy is learning atthe same time as he has fun using this gift I now have for him as a mother which I originally got for myself as a mother’s day gift. As long as the boys are happy, I am happy with my heart’s delight as well! By the way, the lil boy calls this toy “Apple”!

Walt Disney’s 100 Years Of Magic Complete Set DVD Boxset

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, Movies, Videos

While I was looking for educational videos online earlier on, I found this Walt Disney’s 100 Years Of Magic Complete Set DVD Boxset 164 DVDs. I would truly love to have this collection of Disney animated movies! It is a special edition of Walt Disney Classics too. I am sure the lil boy would enjoy watching all these great Disney animated movies which are good for him (except for the Tom and Jerry which is included) and better than the ones shown in some TV channels for kids which I have banned him from watching since he started schooling.

Educational Videos for the Lil Boy

Posted under Education, Entertainment, Games, Info, Videos

On what started as a rainy Monday and now it is so hot outside. While I was looking outside, I was also wondering if we could possibly collect educational videos for the lil boy to watch. I told hubby about that when he woke up at lunch and I also reminded him about looking and canvassing for video cards many of which offer added functions such as accelerated rendering of 3D scenes and 2D graphics. I was looking at a video earlier on where you can play 3D games and maybe we could work that out with the PC or what for our entertainment and bonding time. Hubby promised he will look into it. I am crossing my fingers he will remember this. We may even get to play together educational video games hopefully soon before classes starts.

On the other hand, the lil boy now uses the iPod Touch constantly since he found out about it and got hold of it since last Friday. Yes he wakes up looking for it and watches movie trailers of Dora, Cars, Shrek, How To Train Your Dragon and other animated movies over and over again before goes to sleep at night. Now thinking about it, he now knows how to unlock and use it very well. He knows where YouTube is and one worry for me as a parent is that there are videos even for Dora the Explorer which are not nice for kids like him. There is this one Dora video probably made by someone who uploaded it there and it is quite violent. I don’t know why it has not been removed. So I told hubby we have to hide YouTube somehow and then we have to put purely educational videos in it and make sure those are the only videos the lil boy would have access to when he uses the iPod. It’s his new toy and he hardly let go of it. I find it nice in a way that he has something to be busy with since his summer class has been over and I have been busy with work recently especially the house chores that seems never ending.
