Brown Rice

We cooked this brown rice for the very first time at home. I am delighted that my curiosity as to how to cook it has been satisfied. I have eaten brown rice before though that must have of a different variety. This one we cooked was darker brown while that one we have eaten at Grub Resto in town was more like violet or something close to that color.

Just as another new blogger friend said that it takes forever to cook this, it took us about an hour and fifteen minutes to cook this. Aside from the thirty minutes when we soaked this prior to turning on our ordinary rice cooker.

I like the brown rice though it’s taste and texture is different from the usual white rice that we have been accustomed to eating. I went for this brown rice (thanks to hubby’s support) because I have read and heard many times that this is more healthy and nutritious compared to the white rice. I only hope it ain’t as expensive though compared to white rice.

Finally satisfied my heart’s delight and curiosity when dear hubby let me order this ice blended green colored drink that I was really curious of when I saw two the people ordering it. I thought it may be worth a try drinking and I was in the mood for a cold drink this time since the weather was a little hot that time. I could use a cold drink honestly to cool myself that time.

If you do ask me if I like it? Not really my type as to taste but it was good enough for the experience of satisfying my curiosity as to how it tasted and I am happy already with that. Still my preference over sweet drinks prevails. This tasted good and was really worth the try.

Delighted with the Service

Having a food service job can be no easy job especially when you work for a popular fast food restaurant. I am just delighted with the service that we have received from a fast food chain that recently opened a new branch in the new mall in the city. We actually ate there for the second time tonight more because our kid likes their cheesy garlic bread. I tasted it for the first time and yes I like it too.

Service has been great so far and I hope they keep it up. I made that remark when they handed out a customer comment form to us tonight. I remember going through those list of Food Service Assistant Jobs once before as in many years ago when a cousin of mine wanted to have a summer job so he can save money for something that he wants to buy without having to ask money from his parents. Getting a job in this line of food service demands patience and you got to really love your job.
