Hello August! Time flies and we are already in the second day of the eight month of the year!
When I titled this post “Hello August”, I remember that local movie where the lead female actress named the lead male actor as August. She wanted his attention running after him and since she does not know his name yet she called him names by months. He turned to her when she called out “August” and that was a scene I would always remember.
Oh well they say this month of August according to Feng Shui as I read from a status of a friend over at FB is a lucky month having five (5) Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays and this happens only every 823 years. Also this is the 8th month of the year with the number 8 being a lucky number for the Chinese. I truly hope this will be a lucky, blessed and productive (in work) month for me and hubby! More important than anything else for now is the best of health for the little boy especially, me, hubby and my very own family ~ my own parents, sibling as well as their respective families.
The lil boy has been doing some marathon watching of this animated Disney-Pixar movie called A Bug’s Life for three days now. Last night, he watched it three times in a row plus he also watched it the other day for a few times. Now he just watched once though but if he is still awake till later am sure he would want to watch it again later after watching Toy Story 2, another Disney-Pixar animated movie.
I am happy he looks for this kind of movie rather than the ones he sometimes watch at Cartoon Network and Nick Jr. before which are quite not good for kids actually since they are either not educational and they are quite violent for very young kids to watch. I am gonna hunt for more educational videos for the lil boy. Or at least animated videos that are worth watching and not as violent.
While I was looking for educational videos online earlier on, I found this Walt Disney’s 100 Years Of Magic Complete Set DVD Boxset 164 DVDs. I would truly love to have this collection of Disney animated movies! It is a special edition of Walt Disney Classics too. I am sure the lil boy would enjoy watching all these great Disney animated movies which are good for him (except for the Tom and Jerry which is included) and better than the ones shown in some TV channels for kids which I have banned him from watching since he started schooling.
I always keep hearing this familiar voice. At first I just keep telling myself the voice seems so familar but never thought of who it belonged to. My son has been watching the Disney animated movie Finding Nemo for the nth time since and if you listen to Dory’s voice would you know whose voice it belongs to?
I had watched nemo for many times already before I became conscious of who the voice is behind the Dory character. Dory is the blue fish that nemo’s father Marlin befriended and accompanied him in his journey and search for his son nemo in this Movie. So without further ado, if Dory’s voice is so familiar to you too… it belongs to no other than the newest American Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres. Yes it is her voice, go figure! LOL! I used to watch Ellen’s show so late at night or should I say so early in the morning and now I hear her and see her at American Idol which I have been following too.
Disney-Pixar’s UP movie has been one of our dear son’s favorite movies so far and it has been the movie he watches as he goes to sleep. So I wanna share this UPular music video which the lil boy and I love to watch together ever since dear hubby showed this video to us in YouTube.
Finding Nemo, a 2003 Disney-Pixar animated movie we have seen for the nth time and the lil boy loves it so much! For the first time he saw this movie, he did not seem to like it but after seeing it many times, he would make sure he would sit throughout the movie to watch it. Our lil boy adores Nemo, a little clownfish and son of Marlin.
This movie is about a father-son underwater adventure of finding Nemo who was taken away from his coral reef home. His father Marlin goes on a journey of searching for Nemo, traveling to Sydney with the help of Dory, a blue tang fish who suffers from short-term memory loss. Interesting to know that Ellen DeGeneres is the voice of Dory. Yes Ellen is the voice of Dory and I just found out about it recently when I looked through the voice talents of this movie. I heart Mamma Mia the movie and I could watch watch this movie over and over again to my heart’s delight. It such a wonderful comedy, romantic and musical movie that makes me wanna sing and dance with the characters of the movie. I knew most of the songs in this movie.
Amanda Seyfried who plays Sophie in the movie is adorable. I like her character. And the set on a colorful Greek island is such a wonderful place to be in for a vacation.
