Rabbit Hole

Rabbit Hole is a movie I saw today and it somehow made me cry. Tears just flowed down from my eyes maybe as a mother myself, I could somehow feel how hard it will be to lose your young son. I have a son too and am praying each day to the Lord for his good health and protection at all times.

The movie stars Nicole Kidman who plays the role of Becca, a stay at home mom who lost her young son and only child to an accident where he got killed by a teenage driver. She once again saw that teenager one day riding on a school bus which she followed every day on his way home since then until one day they met at the library. Read the rest of this entry »

Shrek Marathon

We had a Shrek Marathon this afternoon and I don’t know till when it will end starting with Shrek 4 to Shrek 1, Shrek 2 and last but not the least Shrek 3. I started with Shrek 4 since that was the last but at the end of the movie the little boy squealed, “More Shrek Ma!” So all afternoon it was a Shrek marathon and  appreciated the bluray edition of this animated series. I found myself sitting down with the little boy most of the time to watch some scenes that I like.

After the Shrek series, the little one watched Cars, Toy Story 1 & 2 plus now showing is the Phonics for Babies which is his request. It has been a long months since he last saw this one and I love hearing him singing along and responding well to what he sees. My baby is no longer a baby! Okay we have to call it a night in awhile, Let’s see if we will have another Shrek marathon tomorrow.

It was a school holiday and the little boy got tired of playing some game on his daddy’s computer. He came to me asking if he can watch TV. I said that the cable is out (actually we temporarily disconnected it as a control measure against those rather violent cartoons shown on Nick and even Disney channel) and not yet back. He accepted that reason and so we settled for a movie instead that I can play on TV until he falls asleep.

I know he is already sleepy but he was so excited to watch this movie he chose himself. I am going to watch a little part of it with him and work in between. Right now I could hear him happily watching the movie and he is stil excited over some thrilling scenes in the movie now. Then he calls my attention by saying “Bird Ma!” and there goes the end of the villain grasshopper.

Hello August!

Hello August! Time flies and we are already in the second day of the eight month of the year!

When I titled this post “Hello August”, I remember that local movie where the lead female actress named the lead male actor as August. She wanted his attention running after him and since she does not know his name yet she called him names by months. He turned to her when she called out “August” and that was a scene I would always remember.

Oh well they say this month of August according to Feng Shui as I read from a status of a friend over at FB is a lucky month having five (5) Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays and this happens only every 823 years. Also this is the 8th month of the year with the number 8 being a lucky number for the Chinese. I truly hope this will be a lucky, blessed and productive (in work) month for me and hubby! More important than anything else for now is the best of health for the little boy especially, me, hubby and my very own family ~ my own parents, sibling as well as their respective families.
