Occasion It is the first day of September and with the BER months coming means the start of the Christmas season here and the weather will be cooler hopefully. Our neighbor has started preparing for Christmas by cleaning their home for relatives abroad coming home to spend their Christmas vacation here. I saw the mother bringing out some stuff from their basement which their are arranging to put other stuff from another room in the house for the guests.
She was even mentioned she was looking for a basement dehumidifier as they have been having a problem with their basement as this place usually has poor ventilation so its cooler there resulting to higher relative humidity and the end result of which is the dreaded mold! I just learned that molds can harm our health causing migraines even worse effects are respiratory problems. Not to mention the unwanted musty smell it produces. Come to think of it, I have been looking for a dehumidifier too for our room. I heard it also help reduce the workload on your air conditioner. We also have some sort of allergies that attacks us upon waking up. Must be the aircon, molds, dust and other possible allergens in the house. Need cleaning too in preparation for Christmas as well.

Shopping The Christmas tree in the house has been up and standing bare in the other room since the last Christmas season ended. The so-called “BER” months will start in exactly two weeks from now. Here the Christmas season starts that early. The little boy has been singing “Christmas tree, christmas tree…” to the tune of Jingle Bells for quite sometime now. He isn’t that excited, right?
The other day I started looking for our Christmas lights. I may be telling hubby we may need to buy new lights this year. Those C6 led christmas lights that I saw the other day seems to be a a good choice for both indoor and outdoor use. It is available in several colors including red, white and multi color. I love the multi-color ones. It is energy efficient therefore letting you save money on the electrical bill. Plus the bulbs are said to be break resistant and weather resistant making sure they can be used again season after season.

Shopping There is an upcoming wedding where our little boy will be the ring bearer. I am honored for the part that was given to him. It will be his first time to become part of the wedding entourage. I was wondering if I could have him wear pants, long sleeve polo with one of those nice exclusive European designer ties with brands like Atkinsons, Cavallieri, Parsley, Chevalier, Fiorio, Mont Pellier, etc. I could imagine how adorable our little boy will look like wearing one of those.
There are even choices of ties like colored, striped, patterned, festive, and those special sized ties – extra long ties for tall men; fashionable retro style neck ties which is a must for fashion conscious people; clip on tie or secure tie; and those ties for children and youngsters where am browsing on right now.

Shopping Say your boyfriend or girlfriend has a birthday coming up soon. You’ve already picked a nice card to buy them, and maybe even planned a nice dinner — but you’re still wondering what else they might need. Their clothes have been looking a bit worn lately, but you don’t want to go to the mall or the outlet store and come back empty handed. Plus, they might catch on.
How about updating their old wardrobe with something new — maybe something a little classier then what they usually wear? Some nice designer clothes are what you need. Read the rest of this entry »

Tips We live busy lives, don’t we? We get up (after not getting quite as much sleep as we wish we could get), we get dressed, grab whatever kind of grub or coffee we can scrounge up (or afford at a place on the way), and then most of our time is spent at work. And by the time we get done working, all we want to do is relax. So we head on down to a bar, or a pizza place, or whatever — and we hang out with the friends we already have. It does tend to make it difficult to “find someone.” Read the rest of this entry »

Education,
Occasion I was amused when some of our classmates way back in high school cannot remember our graduation song. They had different songs in mind actually and I even started to doubt whether I knew and still remember the right one or not anymore. They gave a couple of songs that were so familiar during those times and I suddenly wonder which one was our graduation song really after all.

Shopping It will be Father’s Day 2010 in a few weeks and I have been looking for Father’s Day gift ideas whenever I have the time and wherever I can. So far aside from the iPad and iPhone that hubby had been mentioning to me lately as some of the gadgets he is interested in, I have been looking into more practical gifts though like new pants, shirts, and short-sleeved polo for him actually. But I am also open to other gift ideas I got from my fellow mommies and wives as well like those personalized baseball bats, watch, new computer keyboard, or new mobile phone since he damaged his own cellphone last month.
I might as well settle for something practical or I might just have to go treat him for shopping next weekend. It would be good that he would chose the gift himself. Now if you do have any other suggestions for a good and practical father’s day gift idea, do let me know! Happy Father’s Day in advance to all fathers in the whole world including my very own dear father of course!
