Nikon Lens F2.8G 24-70mm Travel Coffee Mug

Posted under Photography, Shopping

Finally after finding that Canon lens mug, Nikon now has their own version of that quite deceiving mug.

This is the Nikon Lens F2.8G 24-70mm Travel Coffee Mug… This is a lens mug and not an actual lens.

There is one selling this at Facebook for P2,200 ONLY. Well that’s about $50. Would I buy it? Maybe not yet though it would truly be nice to have one. But given the price, I’ll just buy a few more mugs from Starbucks with the cost of this mug.

Here is the description of this Nikon lens mug: Read the rest of this entry »

Passion for Photography

Posted under Photography

I am happy to find some of my old time friends have found the passion for photography as well. There were a few of them who have acquired a DSLR and started this passion. Some have taken formal basic photography lessons to know their cameras well and they took their passion to the next level. I love taking photos but am no expert or professional photographer. I will just enjoy this passion since I am a mom and I love taking photos every day of my little boy to capture memories as time goes by and as he grows up.

New Lens

Posted under Photography, Shopping

Wishing for a new lens that is coz am really not much of a fan of this Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens anymore. Though I do fancy they bokeh effect it creates sometimes on certain portrati shots I make with the lil boy but then again there are certain times that I would like to take shots that I cannot take using this one.

It is either I need a wide angle lens or I cannot zoom this lens obviously. If only I have extra budget for a new one, I’ll continue scouting for a good lens that can zoom and has good IQ. Wish Santa will give me a new lens this coming Christmas.

Light

Posted under Photography, SOOC

Speaking of light, here is a snapshot of the ceiling pendant light for my straight out of camera Sunday photo. This was hanging above our table in the steak house resto where we had our dinner with my boys a couple of days ago. It was hubby’s treat since it was his off from work and we had our bonding time. I really liked how these lights softened the lights in the whole resto giving it a nice and cozy ambiance for couples, friends, and families to dine in. I was thinking while waiting for our food to be served that maybe we can find one similar to this and have this in my son’s room in case the lamp give’s up in the future. Pink DigiCam

Posted under Info, Photography, Shopping, Tech Stuff

I heart our DSLR but lately I have been wishing for a new P&S camera since it is smaller, lighter and easier to carry around. I have been looking at the digital cameras at the site where a friend of mine got her new Canon digital camera. I have been looking for a 14 megapixel digital camera and looking at the digital camera buying guide for tips and reviews.

This pink Canon PowerShot SD3500 IS 14 Megapixel Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom, 3.5″ LCD, 22mm Wide-Angle Lens, HD Movie and Image Stabilizer is something I’m interested in right now. Aside from being pink, it’s 14 megapixels compared to our 10.2 SLR and it’s cheaper compared to how much we bought our SLR. There are other options to consider though among the popular ones there. Cost for now is one concern. I don’t wanna buy something so expensive. Maybe I can wait and save for a little longer. Maybe the price will go down and it might be offered with more discount so we could avail of more savings. I may be able to find another digital cam not necessarily pink but performs as close if not better than our DSLR.

Sky at the Sanctuary

Posted under Looking at the Sky, Photography, Thursday Challenge

I truly miss this place! Going through my photos, I saw this photo of the sky at a sanctuary of endangered species here in our city. This was taken during sunrise one early morning. I want to go back to this place and have another shoot. But it is not open to the public yet as far as I know. Obviously it is to protect those endagered species kept in this place as well as the mangrove located towards the left side from which I took this shot then. Read the rest of this entry »
