According to a survey, many Americans quoted SNAD as the number one reason for not booking vacation rentals. SNAD stands for “Significantly Not As Described”. In travel industry, it represents the phenomenon where a property looks good only in its pictures. It is an unfortunate occurrence and completely ruins the holiday. According to many observer of the tourism industry, SNAD is a major hindrance in the growth of the industry.

When it comes to vacation rentals, there are two major types of SNAD. The most common one is known as property SNAD. In it, the property is anything but the pictures posted in the advertisement. There is no white cabin nestled amongst the green fields or the hut beside the beach. Instead, there are leaky roofs and small cramped room. If there is a family involved, it worsens the situation because of lack of room and the hassle of finding another place to stay. The other and minor form of SNAD takes the form of inadequate amenities. Many listing are advertised as being near to a particular landmark. In reality, it takes forever to visit the place.

I would love to travel out of the country. How can I wish that I could visit old friends in their new homes abroad and probably join them in their camping one time. Well who knows that may comes true one day. I wanna try joining one of my friends whose hubby loves to go on camping and they travel with family and friends in a RV. Like Good Samaritans on the Road

The neighbor’s vehicle just broke down at the diversion road from what I overheard from his wife and helper as I went out for a walk outside this morning to relax myself. Thank goodness for kind motorists and drivers of other passing cars who helped him tow his car to the nearest repair shop.

Like good Samaritans on the road, it is good to have a roadside assistance club that will help you when you need emergency towing in case your car or RV breaks down during your trip. It is indeed terrible to experience a breakdown and then find out that you don’t have proper coverage which just a few dollars could have covered. Don’t wait for a break down before it’s too late to realize that you actually need to protect your vehicle. Lucky for you if you get to have good Samaritans help you on the road. What if there are none? What would you do? So to be sure then make sure you have that emergency roadside assistance service.

Wedding & Tourism Fair

I just remembered now that there is a Wedding and Tourism Fair that started today in the mall down south. I totally forgot to post the poster that hubby took a snapshot of last month when we saw it at the church. What made me remember only tonight was when I found myself browsing through these lovely, certified and custom diamond engagement rings. These would be great for those who plan to tie the knot this year. I know from experience before many plan their wedding on December. Since June is about to end which is also a popular wedding month for the so-called June brides. I already told my bride-to-be friend about this fair and she will try to visit it too if she will have the time.

Anyway, I hope to visit the wedding and tourism fair tomorrow, the last day and my last chance if only this colds would be gone by then and I won’t be busy with chores and work at home.

Vacation Time

It’s summer and the kids around the neighborhood are mostly in the mood to have a nice and fun vacation time this summer. Thinking of summer fun for the kids, I often think of those Disney vacations we have dreamed of experiencing one day when the lil boy will be more up to remembering all the fun he will have. The Disney theme parks are for kids for all ages even the kids at heart like me sometimes! The Orlando Disney is said to have the best vacation packages said a friend of mine who was able to have a family vacation there a couple of years ago.

For us even HK Disneyland is already something for us for now. We’ll start there and who knows we may get our heart’s desire to travel to Orlando and have a fun and exciting family facation there someday visiting the Disney World, Disney’s hollywood Studios, Sea World, Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios, among the other must see places there.
