Oprah Winfrey’s Half-Sister Patricia on The Oprah Winfrey Show

Posted under TV Shows

Oprah met for the first time the half sister she did not know about only during Thanksgiving last November 2010. Patricia had known and found out about being the half-sister of Oprah in 2007 after years of searching for her biological mom.  It was a touching scene that bring delight to the viewers heart to see two sister reunited.

Animalia TV Series at Nickolodeon

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, TV Shows

The little boy likes to watch the Animalia TV series at Nickolodeon. Animalia is an Australian children’s television series based on the 1986 picture book of the same name by illustrator Graeme Base. I love this animated tv series for kids coz it is far better that other if not most of the others shown at Nick ot Disney which are a little violent for kids.

I am having second thoughts though because the little boy’s school owners told us before not to introduce the little boy too early to fantasy animated tv series such as this one with talking animals since in reality they really do not talk at all. It confuses the child’s orientation on animals thinking they can talk when they actually can’t.

Backyardigans

Posted under Entertainment, Lil Boy, TV Shows

And yet the lil boy is having a Backyardigans marathon watching it for days now! I am just glad that this is more children friendly series and nothing much to worry that your little one might see or hear something bad. It is far better than the cartoons that they are sometimes showing in Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network or even Disney Channel.

I like that there is singing and dancing portions in this series which the little boy likes to sing and dance to as well. At times though even if we are in the middle of work here he would ask us to stop, stand up then sing and dance with him and the Backyardigans. There is one episode though that I like most so far and that is entitled Amazing Race. I like the music and songs that they have here. It makes me want to sing and dance as well without the little boy’s prodding me. Try watching this cartoon series with your little ones and am sure they will enjoy it as much as my lil boy enjoyed watching this each day for more than a week now.
